Worked with ASP.NET, Docker and Linux to facilitate the integration of third-party APIs with their flagship product. Participated in Code Reviews and architectural decisions, and did presentations to the rest of the engineering team on topics such as code analysis.

Worked closely with clients to determine their requirements, as well as contributing to and launching numerous in-house projects including a library for transpiling CLR types to typescript, and oversaw the open-sourcing of many of these libraries to GitHub. Later, moved into a DevOps oriented role where I Implemented YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps, and new environment provisioning scripts using Terraform. In this role I also authored Powershell-based build tasks in Azure DevOps for company-wide use.

I worked as part of a team to deliver a customer facing web application written using ASP.NET Core, ElasticSearch, and AngularJS. I also wrote and maintained several high-performance services which integrate with 3rd party social media sites, including Twitter and YouTube. Often I had to diagnose issues occurring in production, often having to respond quickly with a solution.

I worked on a day-to-day basis on the company’s flagship HR and Payroll Product, and also provided 3rd Line Support for existing customers, in order to help with the release of the company’s new “Auto-Enrolment” module which I helped develop. I was involved in architectural discussions about Entity Framework, NuGet and Windows Azure and engaged in side-projects outside of office hours for the benefit of other departments, such as a desktop app designed to help with management of support tickets.

I generally worked on in-house projects involving requirements from other departments, but also produced Crystal Reports for other departments and provided technical assistance for other employees.
