Research into autofocus algorithms for automated microscopy. Developing new control procedures, looking for innovative hardware solutions. Developing fast and robust image processing procedures to preserve the best performance of the system.

Development of autofocus algorithms for automated microscopy, calibration procedures and necessary software. Construction of stand-alone autofocus module. Implementation and testing various algorithms with use of Matlab and C++. Developing an embedded part of the system.
