Provided expertise related to link budget calculations which allowed Marquardt to deepen their co-operation with their most demanding client.

Intel SMARTI 5 and Smarti 6 RF transceiver development and verification.

Product Head for the magnetic and electric field measurement devices. Responsible of R&D and Product Management. TDS probes are Novel Active-Optical, Time-Domain H&E Sensors with high dynamic range and broad bandwidth. Applications for the Active-Optical-RF probes are EMC/EMI/EMP and MRI. Very useful for the RF designer, who are sniffing and scanning different behavior of the PCB board H- or E-fields with different HW and SW setups.

Smarti 4G platform development of new features for the front end concept. Antenna tuner development and optimization and measurement work. Optimization and controlling measurement equipments with Matlab. ADS simulation and optimization for the tuners. Tuner characterization with Matlab for the optimum tuner code.

3G Modem (PCIe) development. PCIe modems are used in Tablet PC's (such as iPad) and laptops. Solving the technical problems related to PCIe datacards.

4G LTE & Multiband 3G Platform Development Key contributor to the first LTE 4G phone prototype shown at MWC 2007. Led RF/baseband design for 4G/3G (LTE, WCDMA HSDPA/HSUPA) prototypes: modem architecture, transceiver (TX/RX), IQ interfaces, calibration, and FPGA specs. Hands-on with schematics, PCB floor-planning, and industrialization. Built automated RF test systems, handled tuning and factory support. Also supported Bluetooth, USB, camera, and Infineon RF transceiver integration with Ericsson basebands.

Consultant for mobile phone and RF ASIC platform companies.

RF Project Manager – Technical Consultant Led RF/BB work for next-gen 3G phone project. Managed platform evaluation (Intel, Renesas vs. Qualcomm), defined RF system requirements, and ran supplier meetings. Responsible for roadmaps, benchmarking, competitor analysis, and technical reporting. Initiated project planning and scheduling.

RF design and integration for Tri-band smartphone using Nokia Symbian series 60 SW. Cost reductions of Sendo-X by redesigning RF circuitry. Training Celestica factory staff in Czech Republic on debugging and fault finding of GSM Mobile PCBs. Solving receiver channel desensitising problem from 160.000 manufactured boards. Used resonator technology by cutting a slot into camera module, which was in resonance with antenna.

Developed improved GSM power ramps with ADS and Spice simulations and improved factory yield loss due to GSM power ramping failures. Member of Sony Ericsson global core simulation team. Sony & Ericsson joint venture: Part of the technology exchange team in Ericsson Lund site during 6 months.

RF transmitter chain developments and simulations with APLAC and HP ADS, system calculations with Syscalc. Used R&S network analyser and HP spectrum analyser daily. Optimization in TX spurious emissions, PA output and power consumption. Designing Sony quality with product centric quality system. 6-Sigma and other PDS tools in use. Multicultural (42 nationalities in site) and Japanese Sony cultural training. Weekly RF lectures for everybody in RF team.

Designing HMT 320 Humidity Transducer. Working in Sensors System Division in product electronics design using High Precision OP-amps and compensation routines, Pads PCB and Schematics design with Pads logic, controlling parts delivery for factory and industrialization. Microcontroller embedded device with analogue electronics.

High volume RF ASIC products, High-Q inductors design as a part of EU project. Inductors Characterization (L,R,R^2,Rexp2,C) with Matlab and excel. Writing EU study reports. Holding lecture in Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences related to characterization.

Designing RF test systems and RFSSU’s for Nokia Mobile Phones (all over the world) R&D and production. High power base station (BTS) testing, IMD testing. Mobile phone production EMC tester. RF Tester for Tetra base station. Using PADS software and APLAC RF microwave simulations tool as well AutoCAD for 19” mechanical rack systems.
