Alana Darcher

I work at the intersection of neuroscience and computer science, designing, performing, and analyzing independent experiments with intracranial patients. I have extensive technical work with neural recording systems, large-scale data analysis (Python, MATLAB), and the development of database systems for organizing complex research datasets. Alongside my scientific publishing record, I bring substantial experience in project management, supervision, and coordinating interdisciplinary research workflows.

Independently planned and executed experimental work involving fiber photometry and pharmacological interventions to study neural circuit function. Wrote analysis code for lab data processing and performed a structured review of existing codebases to improve reproducibility, maintainability, and analytical reliability.

Completed hands-on lab training in cellular and computational neuroscience, complemented by extensive additional coursework in computer science and machine learning at the Technical University of Munich. Built a strong interdisciplinary foundation for data-driven research, analytical problem-solving, and the application of computational methods to complex biological systems.
