Deputizing the Program Director, I am taking care of the whole program in Afghanistan. I am managing a team of 23 technical (national and international), 6 administrative and 4 supporting staff. The program has a budget of 33.5 Million Euros commissioned by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and 16 Million Euros commissioned by the European Union Commission.

I supported the program director in provision of offer and proposal documents for the new energy program of GIZ in Afghanistan under the name of Energy Sector Improvement Program (ESIP). The program was followed by a planning workshop hold in Dubai where I was managing to include the requirements of the sector stakeholders and the needs of the current market for the energy in Afghanistan -considering the long-term vision of the country to meet the energy self-sufficiency goals 2032.

I developed more than 40 terms of reference for different projects, implemented/supervised and coordinated 9 projects, developed a project management tool which eased the task of every component coordinator to monitor the projects under their supervision and moreover, I developed 13 concept papers which turned into national proactive programs including: Afghanistan Energy Information Portal, Women’s Initiative for Sustainable Energy WISE, Youth Entrepreneurship Support YES, etc.

As a visiting lecturer in Afghanistan’s most prestigious University, I thought Cost Analysis, Construction Project Management, Energy Efficiency in Buildings, Project Management and Fluid Mechanics subjects for more than 300 students every week. I also worked as an advisor for senior students writing and developing their thesis and dissertations.

Leading a team of 14 engineers on daily basis, I was working closely with Senior Advisor of MUDA (both national and international) on providing Urban Development Guidelines. Moreover, I developed 2 processes and procedure guideline on “Township Establishment” with the aim of reducing the time and provide simple and less procedures for establishing a township in all over Afghanistan and “Standardization of Existing Townships across the country”.

I worked closely with Monitoring and Controlling Unit of MUDA on existing townships in all over the country and developed Quality Assurance/Control measures and procedure to address the low quality of services provided by the townships for the residents and dwellers. The processes were consisting of monitoring tools and checklists. Reduction in violating the regulations and corruption is noticeable since development of this procedure.

- I organized and established meetings on regular basis with program participants who were Pakistani and Afghan youth in different events and fostered positive relationships among them. - I organized related activities for young Pakistani activists in Kabul for 60 days. - I assisted the budget development and made 30% growth in found and provided different modifications.

Working with the Islamic Cooperation for a Peaceful Future in Afghanistan (ICPFA) Program I: - led provincial outreach components including: managing efforts to increase interaction between 19 Imams and Islamic Scholars. - developed 2 approaches that reinforced the opportunities to generate cooperation in support of peace. - supported the outreach efforts of the program through public hearings in the provinces and, improved the media access to our target groups.

I was responsible for delivering building development projects of varying size and complexity for company’s clients USACE and USAID. I was responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager and reported directly to projects’ director and company board of directors. I was also providing project work performance information and report to our clients on monthly bases along with giving presentations and joining the meetings.

- Process engineering calculations, equipment sizing and selection, check lists, punch lists and completion certificates. - Coordinated and planed commissioning functions with site representatives and contracts engineers. - Compiled commissioning reports for approval by the Project Manager. - Recorded changes to designs and drawings for as-built documentation and had daily site-visits from the project.

 Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners  Responding to breakdowns  Maintaining records of IOM library  Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.

 Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications and replacing parts as required;  Talking to staff or counterparts through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help setting up their systems or resolve issues;  Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.

The Programme covers renewable energy policies, regulations, technologies, business models and viability assessment techniques. Candidates completing this course acquire the skills required to design, optimize and evaluate the technical and economic viability of renewable energy projects.
