On sabbatical from British Diplomatic Service: • Senior management, leading 250 staff & volunteers to drive step-change in Conservation, Visitor Engagement and Profitability, across the NT's entire north Lake District holdings – exceeding 90% of KPIs. • Fully accountable for P&L budgets, revenue generation, cost control, strategic planning, business plan innovation, workforce planning and management – in retail, catering, holiday cottages, lettings and more. • Responsible for €4m business, €200m assets.

British Diplomat - Devolved Administration Stakeholder Manager, Stakeholder Engagement Team, Communication Directorate. Grade B3. Maximising the benefits of the FCO's engagement with UK civil society in the English regions and Devolved Administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, to help deliver the FCO's strategic objectives: • Ensuring a positive working relationship between the Devolved Administrations and the FCO, including management of the Head of the Diplomatic Service's outreach.

A start-up entrepreneurial venture for the development of a service company to provide bicycle and motor-scooter maintenance at clients’ workplaces: • Winner of €15k first prize ‘Best business idea internet sector’, in the ‘Wonderland Contest 2000’ sponsored by Mediobanca, Milan Polytechnic, Bocconi University. • Since 2006, BusinessBike.com has changed business sector and is now a small partnership of international associates providing Web Design, App Development and Ergonomic Design Consultancy.

On secondment from British Diplomatic Service - Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) - Grade C4 (HEO). Private Equity Start-up funded by Cambridge-based multinational corporations to deliver a scalable executive search technology platform which integrates with HR professionals to streamline high-tech recruitment: • Leading on setting-up and structuring the company’s new Cambridge HQ.

British Diplomat - Executive Officer, Investment Team, Sustainable Development & Business Group; managing 2 diplomatic staff. Grade B3. Helping spearhead the drive for closer relations between the FCO and business, building improved conditions for private investment and enhanced security for companies around the world: • Contributing to bilateral investment protection policy, in conjunction with BIS and UKTI. • Policy input to major upgrade of SISBO (Security Information Service for Business Overseas).

British Consulate General, Milan, Italy, Commercial Section – UKTI, FCO. Grade LE1. Developing an inward investment promotion strategy, maintaining management information on targets and performance, reporting direct to the Consul General in Milan, managing 4 Investment Assistants: • Winner of 'Outstanding Individual Award' in the UK Trade & Investment/D Group Board Awards 2004. • Exceeded all inward investment targets by 150-225% for each of the 4 years. • FCO appraisal performance rating 'A'.

Multinational Supply Chain Planning software developer; clients include Barilla, Castrol, Daewoo, Ferrari-Maserati. Based in Milan, responsible for managing Italian HQ budget, supervision of promotional events, advertising campaigns in the most important national trade press, corporate mailings, corporate level image refresh (corporate brochure redesign, newsletter, corporate websites content, ASP web-based demo, Intranet, etc.): • Project Manager for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) project.

Global market leader in digital design, online marketing and communication technology, founded in Sweden: • Milan office, responsible for usability evaluations of corporate client websites including Deutsche Bank Italia, Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, major retailer Findomestic.

International conference organiser company: • London, UK office - managing, training and recruiting a team of 60 Market Research staff.
