As part of my B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering I spent half a year as intern at Johnson Controls in Holme, where I was a part of the Compressor Development group. Here, I worked with a lot of varying tasks including: - Thorough strength calculations of pressure equipment according to EN13480 (A harmonised standard to the Pressure Equipment Directive). - Dimensioning of safety valves - Finite Element calculations of a cover plate, a sealing ring and several lifting eyes.
