Angelina Yershova

Doctoral researcher in translational pediatric sarcoma research at DKFZ/KiTZ. I combine computational cancer biology, patient/public cohort analysis, multi-omics interpretation and wet-lab validation context. My first-author PhD project studies chromosome 1q gain and SF3B4-associated vulnerability in Ewing sarcoma. I build reproducible R/Bioconductor, Python and Bash workflows for RNA-seq/scRNA-seq, methylation-derived CNV, survival/pathway analysis, and present results in lab mini lectures.

Established an intestinal epithelial-cell gut-on-a-chip protocol for microscopy-based assays, including setup, troubleshooting, assay interpretation, quantitative readout logic and documentation.

Investigated unfolded protein response, translation dynamics and metabolic adaptation in infected/toxin-stimulated hepatocytes; generated quantitative Western blot and flow-cytometry readouts.

Collected patient health metrics, treatment-access data and guideline-alignment evidence; prepared evidence-based letters and briefing materials, organized physician-led workshops and mediated between clinicians, patients and families.
