– Monitor inventory levels (JNI) against customer orders & backlogs to optimise supply & demand to minimize obsolete stock – Creating Purchase Orders (PO) for purchase and sales of materials from & to other Continental locations worldwide in case of escalation – Weekly production planning based on customer demand and material availability & creating a special release of materials by contacting QM & SQM in case of blocked parts due to quality reasons

– Cooperation in simultaneous engineering teams (purchasing, quality, development, production) for competition analysis and cost calculations for car body exterior parts for ongoing & future projects. – Plausibility checks of cost claims from suppliers as well as elaboration of technical specifications of existing components & creation of product decision sheets for make-or-buy decisions

– Sourcing of suppliers for different projects by sending RFQ’s to suppliers, supporting management in shortlisting the suppliers, and in the price and contract negotiation process. – To measure supplier performance based on various KPI’s and to define corrective actions and improvement plans by coordination with internal departments and suppliers by conducting workshops
