• Overall positioning and New Business Development for energy and petrochemical opportunities in Mozambique and Tanzania including portfolio management and stage-gate process experience. • Coordinated multiple business functions to ensure delivery of feasibility study for the multibillion-dollar Sasol Canada Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) project; coordinated and integrated planning between Sasol GTL team and Joint Venture partner Talisman.

• Established and managed effective competitive intelligence gathering and analysis to support strategic growth targets in Gas-to-Liquids technology. • Facilitated SSI’s strategy process and annual strategy sessions; compiled strategy documents and presentations; communicated strategic issues to SSI staff.

• Discovered first ethylene tetramerization catalyst to selectively produce 1-octene, a co-monomer for the production of high performance linear high-density polyethylene. • Successfully guided team to develop the 1-octene process to handover for commercialization, resulting in Sasol’s decision to build the first-of-its-kind production facility in Louisiana to produce 100,000 tpa.
