I worked on a freelance basis doing translations and proofreading for German to English texts. I primarily focused on marketing and legal texts.

I managed project participants through English and Business Skills classes, job preparedness training and their internship abroad. I developed a flexible curriculum for multi-level participants, accompanied them during their time abroad, and liaised between the participants and the German and Maltese/Italian project partners. I organized weekly meetings and collected and processed paperwork, handled the weekly stipend, and managed and procured transit tickets.

I was responsible for German to English translation proofreading and editing with a focus on marketing, legal and technical texts. I also took on the task of reviewing, assessing and correcting complaints regarding translations into English. I developed a reputation as a thorough and trustworthy proofreader, even of texts which had been translated/written externally and were not accompanied by source texts.

Notable clients: Porsche Dienstleistungs GmbH, Deutsche Bundesbank, Berufsförderungswerk Leipzig, FAIRNET GmbH, Hertel GmbH I taught adult students of English as a Foreign Language in a freelance capacity, which also included writing offers, scheduling and planning courses and submitting evaluations.
