PANhellenic infrastructure for Atmospheric Composition and climatE chAnge (PANACEA) is envisioned to become the high-class, integrated Research Infrastructure (RI) for atmospheric composition and climate change not only for Greece, but also for southern Europe and eastern Mediterranean, an area that is acknowledged as a hot spot for climate change (NSRF 2014-2020).

Monitoring, Calibrating and Observing the proper operation of the air-quality observation stations. Use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and database of the Service (SQL). Law studying and consulting about environmental and energy projects.

PhD title: Investigation of Atmospheric Electric Field as a tool for studying environmental and biological processes and predicting natural disasters. Main task: Study of the atmospheric electric field from its perspective as a tool for environmental and biological processes and as a tool for predicting natural disasters.

Master thesis title: Hydrogen as a key player in synthetic fuel production in future transport systems. Main task: Investigation of potential substitution of fossil fuels with synthetic fuels produced by CO2 capture, biogas or biomass gasification and upgraded with hydrogen coming from electrolysis or co-electrolysis. Analyze environmental data of Danish energy scenarios with EnergyPLAN tool. Investigate the role of hydrogen as system integrator and the potential conversion to synthetic fuels.

Bachelor thesis title: Study of surface temperature using open space materials. Main task: Study of four different materials for covering the outside surface of buildings and measurement of temperature between them. Research of the reduction of energy consumption of the building from the usage of these materials (heating or cooling). Another aspect that was studied was on how that change of temperature will affect or mitigate Heat Island Effect.
