Gained hands-on experience through plant tours, lectures, and workshops on topics such as industrial biotechnology, quantum chemistry, and battery materials research. Engaged with global experts and fellow PhD students, enhancing my knowledge of sustainability-driven innovation and the latest advancements in chemical research.

Key responsibilities • Evaluation of sample preparation procedures for milk proteomics and analysis with RPLC-QTOF. • Evaluation of efficiency of sample preparation methods (FASP and in-solution digestion methods) for breast milk sample. • SDS-PAGE, Bradford assay, Solid phase extraction (SPE) • Data analysis, data interpretation via Skyline.

Outline: Worked on the “Deutschlandweites Monitoring von Kleingewässern” project, assessing the impact of agricultural crop protection agents on small and medium-sized rivers in Germany (70 sources). Key Responsibilities: • Prepared soil and water samples for MS analysis (filtration, acidification, SPE, TOC measurements). • Documented results and managed safety data sheets/chemical records. Key Achievement: Successfully processed and documented 600 samples within 7 months.

• Conducted metabolomics research on zebrafish using HRMAS NMR to study PET nanoplastics and Alzheimer’s disease, developing an MRI tracking method. • Investigated PFOS and T2 effects with HRMAS NMR and CLSM. • Presented at EUROMAR, SETAC, FGMR. • Used DLS, TEM, IR, SEM, CLSM, and TECAN for biological analysis. • Supervised MSc/BSc students. • Published 8 papers, collaborated with FSU and Leiden University.
