Leader of geo information strategy and planning within the Port Authority. Working on developing cooperation between departments as well as getting buy-in on the overall geo information vision for 2030. Connecting with external organisations and keeping an eye on new developments on behalf of the port development. Anticipating EU/Dutch government legislation and sharing how that impacts the port. Working with mixed disciplined teams using Prince2 en Agile methodology.

Promoting and securing financing for EU projects. Actively working on proposals for EU projects with OGC members across technological/academic disciplines. Engaging with and representing OGC members at conferences. Making the connection between Environmental, Social and (corporate) Governance (ESG reporting), geoinformation and standardisation. Using a Customer Relationship System (CRM) to maintain alliances and follow leads using the Kanban (Agile) methodology.

Influencing the Senior Management team through market research and reports on which types of contracts to create proposals. Create proposals and work with colleagues in Canada to develop these for the EU/UK markets. Organised kick-off meetings based on these proposals. Connecting with local governmental organisations and sharing our technical offering. Working in a small team focused on using Prince2 and Agile methodology.

Developing geospatial learning programme for NATO project. Creating online learning materials using Geo Information Systems (GIS) for six training courses, including performance objectives; task analysis; DIF/Gap analysis; course control documents; and evaluation process. Continuously working on problem solving with subject matter experts to provide accurate information within.

Managing an award-winning, boutique cartographic design consultancy from deepest, darkest Cornwall. Where? Exactly. Working with a team of 3 permanent members of staff and 7 suppliers, to provide maps, training and consultancy to local organisations, universities and national governments. All on-time and on-budget. Working with clients in the Middle East, Asia, Americas and Europe on maps for books, gifts, posters, notice boards and wallpapers, as well as GIS projects.
