The product development part of the Deutsche Telecom project (see below) was moved into a separate project. I took the responsibility for the other parts, and organized them into one delivery project for Deutsche Telekom. In parallel with the project management assignment, I received the responsibility of the Platform department. I was responsible for development and maintenance of the P/90E platform, which is the base for all Teligent’s products and deliveries. The department consisted of three groups of each 10 developers and group manager. The department was located mainly in Stockholm, but also in Nynäshamn and in the U.K. I reported to the manager of Business Unit Engineering and Delivery.

Was asked by the CEO to take over the responsibility of the largest project in the company’s history. The project had been running for one year when I took over the responsibility. The scope of the project included further development of the service platform P/90E, customizations on top of the platform, service development, deliveries of several IN-systems including IT infrastructure to the customer, integration, training and documentation. The project was organized into six subprojects.

Responsible for development of the applications identified as global products. This meant a product development responsibility for several products, as ordered by product management. The department consisted of approx. 40 people located in Stockholm, Nynäshamn and Linköping. Two team managers were reporting to me. The role included a position in the management team for the Engineering and Delivery organisation.

I was acting manager for the Customer Solutions department during the period April–August 2006, during the absence of the ordinary manager. The responsibility of this department was to perform the customizations of ordered systems. The department consisted of approx. 60 people in Umeå, Nynäshamn, Russia, Great Britain, Spain, Philippines and Romania (a partner). Six team managers were reporting to me.

Responsible for delivering Messaging systems (Voicemail, Unified Messaging, Videomail, SMSC etc) to customers worldwide. The responsibility started at contract signature, and ended when the customer had accepted the system. Participated frequently in the presale phase with technical and project knowledge. Responsibility included product development and maintenance of Messaging products. The unit consisted of approx. 30 people who were project managers, system architects, developers and testers.

Responsible for R&D within the product area Messaging. The unit consisted of 12 people, of which 3 was located in London.

Managed customer project, from contract signature to customer acceptance. The tasks within the projects were specification, design, development, verification, installation, integration, customer migration and training. I worked with British customers, and several project members were located at the London office. Customer communication was an important part of the responsibility. Participated as well in the presale phase with technical and project knowledge. The projects involved Messaging and IN systems

Worked within the product area Cordless Terminal Mobility (cordless telephony within a larger geographical area). The roles I had was as a subproject manager, and System Manager (technical project manager).

Worked with design and development, and also as a team leader, within the product area Intelligent Networks. The work involved a lot of cooperation with Ericsson in Denmark and Holland. Had also the assignment as acting Section Manager (the size of the section was 15 people) for a period of four months when the manager was absent.

Worked with design, development and test within the product area Charging within AXE. The task involved cooperation with Ericsson in Great Britain as well as Holland.
