When first working for the Navy, I developed cross-platform software to implement the artificial intelligence for autonomous undersea vehicles (AUV's). * More recently, I lead the team that ported, maintains, and enhances the CASS/GRAB ocean acoustics model.

* Project lead and integration programmer for the Aurora data stream management system, which became the founding product of spin-off company StreamBase.com. * Managed 10+ concurrent sub-projects, all modifying the same code base. * Ensured system's design coherence despite competing goals of code contributors and despite tight deadlines.

* Project lead and lead architect for high-performance federated database system and for company's data warehousing service. * Lead or participated in all aspects of software delivery: requirements, network planning, purchasing, project management, architecture, code development, optimization, deployment, and production support. * Worked in Java, T-SQL, and MS SQL Server 7.0/2000.

* Maintained database infrastructure of web content management product. * Tuned performance of company's server-side Java-based product.

* Developer on a team that commercialized an AI-based email categorizer prototyped by IBM research. * Our team designed and developed rewrite of 32-bit cross-platform network API for telephone call-center management.

* Developed application to integrate OLAP data with forecasting software. * Developed ETL application for company's warranty card data.
