Managed purchasing activities for goods and services for industrial operations (non-supply materials), quality assurance, industrial engineering and infrastructure management (annual budget of approx. 18 M€) – achieved renewal of key contracts and extension of payment terms for all major suppliers. Provided guidance to key decision-makers of different functional areas to assist them in definition of selection criteria, evaluation of purchasing alternative and negotiation and definition of contract terms

Contributed through process analysis to the gathering and review of local and global requirements, developing business and functional specifications for specific business processes which later served as global blueprints for subsequent implementations. Coordinated the work of local project team members, specifically during training and system test phases. Served as local contact towards Global Project Team for validation of requirements, system customizing and business evaluation of developed solutions

• Held business development responsibility for the pharmaceutical industry aimed at promoting the company's marketplace services based on the Ariba platform, supervising work of two junior resources. Developed a process reference model for sales/purchasing to perform cost/benefit assessments for the clients. Expanded reach of the company to the Public Sector through contacts with main healthcare and educational institutions in Northern Italy.

Participated in the roll-out of the Ariba eProcurement project, overseeing the organizational implications of the implementation and the process for non-supply material purchasing. Oversaw a project to assess eProcurement opportunities for the purchasing of direct materials that led to the development of a portal to manage packaging materials, supervising work of four interns.
