Projektleiter Hafenbau International

At SKM now Jacobs, I have worked for the past three years on large mine infrastructure projects located in West Africa including a 6 months FIFO in Guinea. Managing a team of engineers and technicians, I conducted the design of roads, pad, earthworks, drainage,etc. for the mine infrastructure. Additionally, I was recently a Project Manager for our client Rio Tinto on a 132km national road construction project in Guinea with regular site visits.

At EWP, I hold the position of civil engineer working on small to medium schemes carrying out drainage and road pavement design. Additionally, I was responsible for developing and preparing Geo-Environmental assessments for any new site. Coordination with small architect practices client care was also the focus of my work. Particularly, I designed Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDs) using Windes microdrainage. My work also included carparks and vehicle tracking.

AKT is a prestigious design-led structural and civil engineering firm working with internationally renown architects. As a civil engineer I worked on various projects from estates or schools or museums to international projects. Managing multiple projects, and using various software, I conducted all aspects of the design (drainage, SUDS, pavement, roads, etc.) to deliver schemes from feasability study to construction phase. Additionally, I prepared, geo-environmental reports and flood risk assessments.

For four consecutive seasons, I worked every summer for 3 months in the regional civil engineering and environmental firm that is Lhotellier Ikos. I took many successive roles to experience the various aspects of the firm: labourer, general foreman, geotechnical laboratory technician, clerk of the work and finally logistic manager where I was responsible for the day to day organisation of the plants and truck fleet, manpower and material supply.
