Starting in July 2011 all of the Alcatel BTS’s from T-Mobile are planned to be swapped with the new BTS’s from Huawei. As an SMC Engineer I had to provide support after the Swap was done. Monitoring the alarms and solving every problem that came up after the Swap was a daily occupation

The GNOC (Global Network Operations Center) is the technical network interface for the network owners and their customers; ensuring our customer’s networks and their customers’ services are operating at an optimum level, while retaining and improving the expected network standards and integrity. The GNOC NCC (Network Control Center) engineers use their TELECOM skills and knowledge of systems and procedures to monitor customers’ networks and services with the primary aim to maximize network availability
