Responsable of the strategic planning for research and development and coordination of the four departments of the institute: Astrophysics, Optics, Electronics, and Computer Science. INAOE is with roughly 400 employees, approximately 500 graduate students, and an annual budget in 2019 of ~330 million MXN (approximately 18 million EUR), one of the 27 research institutes of the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACyT) in Mexico.

National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) is with 245 employees of which roughly 160 are research professors, roughly 500 graduate students, and an annual budget in 2017 of approximately 18 million EUR, one of the 27 research institutes of the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACyT) in Mexico.

Research and teaching regarding radiation detectors and systems, physics of semiconductor devices and their fabrication and characterization, mixed-signal integrated circuit design, CMOS imaging, data acquisition systems, and signal and data processing

- Strategic planing of the R&D activities of the team: detector systems for scientific applications, from the first idea to the final working system (front-end, readout, signal and data processing, integration of the developed detector systems into experiment facilities etc.) - Responsibility for team financing: publicly funded projects and projects with partners/customers - Disciplinary responsibility for team colleagues

- Analysis of the existent system knowledge and assessment of required future technologies applied to neutron and gamma detectors, positron emission tomography (PET) detectors, micro-structured detectors, silicon based readout and signal processing systems, and similar applications - System optimization and project support in area of complex detector systems - Project controlling and project management

Project management and research and developement tasks in areas of CMOS imaging, electronic devices physics, and CMOS process optimization for photodetection applications.

Research and development in areas of photodetectors, pixel configurations, image sensors, and CMOS process optimization for 2D and 3D (Time-of-Flight) imaging, as well as spectrography and X-ray CMOS applications. Grade: mit Auszeichnung (with distinction).

Semiconductor physics, optoelectronics, sensors: theoretical research, modelling, simulation, fabrication, and characterization.
