Delia Schösser

My main task is sourcing and procuring materials and services needed for the construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure. This comprises the close collaboration with construction managers to understand project requirements as well as negotiations of contracts with suppliers to ensure that time, quality, and budget constraints are met.

I am responsible for planning and holding courses in the bachelor's and master's degree program "Transport Economics". Additionally, the supervision of seminar papers and final theses belongs to my tasks as well as conducting research (flight delay prediction with Machine Learning)

During my time as student assistant I supported the organisation and implementation of the PhD program Dokt!OR during the OR2019 conference. Moreover, the translation of the chair's website and exercise materials into English as well as the correction of homework and exams belonged to my tasks.

The Regional Process Office is in charge of internal process improvement. As an industrial trainee in this department, I was responsible for optimizing the Employee-Offboarding Process. Moreover, I supported the team in doing different analyses (e.g. in Excel) and organized and hold meetings.
