Diana Chiang Jurado

I work at the Chair for Bioinformatics, Faculty of Engineering, working on Single-Cell, Spatial Transcriptomics, and Imaging Analysis, contributing tools, workflows, and applications in these areas to the Galaxy Platform and the Galaxy Training Network (GTN), and engaging in community and scientific outreach. I also deliver lectures in Master’s programs and supervise BSc/MSc research projects/theses.

I carried out my doctoral research in Cardiovascular Immunology at the Department of Cardiology and Angiology II.

At the Department of Pediatrics, I conducted research focused on neurogenomics in children with intellectual disabilities and coordinated student volunteer activities in the pediatric clinic, while supporting clinical research coordination.

MSc research in Infectious Diseases and Solid Organ Transplantation across the Infectious Diseases and Gastroenterology divisions, with clinical trial coordination in Infectious Diseases and contributions to microbiome research.

Summer research role in Infectious Diseases and Solid Organ Transplant, studying organ donor–recipient mismatch and CMV-related transplantation outcomes.

Psychology Research - Data Collection for a project on language acquisition in toddlers.
