Berufserfahrung von Stephen Strassburg

  • Bis heute 6 Monate, seit Jan. 2025

Formulation Automation Senior Scientist | Formulation Team Leader

    CureVac Manufacturing Gmbh

Lead scientist and Manager of Formulation Automation Group in Technical Development. Leadership in the resolution of root cause investigations and implementation of CAPAs. Supported technology transfer projects (GMP manufacturing), document control and transfer (PFMEA, Dev Report, SOP, etc). Scientific lead for development/planning of Automated Formulation device. Successful development and optimization of manufacturing processes of sterile biopharmaceutical products (e.g. vaccines, LNPs, etc.).

  • Bis heute 4 Jahre und 1 Monat, seit Juni 2021

Formulation Automation Scientist | Formulation Team Leader

    CureVac Manufacturing GmbH

  • 2 Jahre und 7 Monate, Nov. 2018 - Mai 2021

    Post Doctoral Research

    Universität Bayreuth

Research and development in the field of biopolymers and nanoparticles for use in therapeutic materials (e.g. sutures, biosensors, etc.). Technical leadership with physical chemistry characterization and biophysics along with reviewing of project proposals, development reports, laboratory trainings, health and safety responsibilities and SOP/protocol writing. Advisor role for several master and bachelor students including weekly group meetings, analysis of reports and teaching responsibilities.

  • 5 Jahre und 7 Monate, Sep. 2012 - März 2018

    Graduate Student

    University of Massachusetts Amherst

Doctoral candidate with technical expertise with protein confirmations, mixed micelle self-assembly and polyelectrolyte phase behavior. Responsible for writing proposals, setting milestones, targets and coordinating with a wide range of disciplines across several different universities. Advised several students with project feedback and taught incoming students Scattering and Rheological techniques. Developed several SOPs for characterization of biopolymers in non-aqueous environments.

  • 1 Jahr und 1 Monat, Mai 2011 - Mai 2012

    Undergraduate Student Researcher

    Northeastern University

Assisted graduate students in designing a polymer (PMMA) and ceramic (YSZ) composite material using a self designed dip coating or spray coating technique.

  • 8 Monate, Juni 2010 - Jan. 2011

    Undergraduate Co-Op Researcher

    SABIC

Successfully designed formulations of grafted polycarbate polymers which were then melt pressed or solvent casted to form super hydrophillic transparent films. These films were tested with DSC, TGA, FTIR, scratch and surface energy measurements. The novel designed films exhibited superhydrophillic surfaces that were thermally stable.
