In my current position, I work with high dimensional data (Whole Genome Bisulfite Sequencing) aiming to understand the contribution of epigenetic variation in adaptive responses of plants to changing environments.

As Scientific Marketing Trainee, I had the great chance to work directly with the expert marketing team at NEBION and learn how to develop and implement marketing strategies for proprietary bioinformatics tools.

As a postdoc within the “TiMet – Linking the Clock to Metabolism” collaborative project funded by the European Comission FP7, I developed and implemented an integrative network analysis approach to answer key biological questions regarding the regulatory interaction between the circadian clock and isoprenoids (specialized metabolites) . http://timing-metabolism.eu/

During my doctoral dissertation I studied the regulation of isoprenoid biosynthesis (plant specialized metabolism) at branch points, focusing on the GGPP synthase gene family from the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. I characterized the GGPPS paralogs in terms of evolutionary history, differential expression pattern, mutant phenotype and association with distinct metabolic fluxes as inferred from the in silico gene co-expression network.
