Business development for the agro-business in 9 African countries. Leading sales, technical, marketing, supply-chain and controlling teams.

General Manager for a global catalyst business. Full P&L responsibility. Responsible for sales, technical, marketing, production, controlling and R&D teams in the US, Europe and Asia. Drive new business development activities.

Advise executive board member on corporate and divisional strategies, investment opportunities, organizational restructuring and staffing. Prepare and direct high-level meetings and public appearances for board member. Head BASF’s research / innovation communications group.

Identify new business opportunities. Develop new, innovative products and processes; leading internal and external R&D in close partnership with customers. Extend business through M&A, including identification of takeover candidates and due diligence. Develop new strategic pathway for global business unit.

Manage a laboratory for the discovery of new agricultural actives; generate and direct a significant number of additional external research projects through contract manufacturing. Lead an international, interdisciplinary project team for a herbicide optimization project.
