- Developed solution keys and graded the assignments/tests of the “Production and Completion Engineering” course of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering major - Provided 50+ students with a clear grading structure and meaningful feedback through 10 assignments, 2 midterms and 1 final exam - Supported the students in understanding complex subjects in production engineering

- Mentored all of the 7 new graduate students with their adaptation to the academic environment - Held weekly info sessions on academic and practical issues, provided assistance in events involving the students (e.g. orientation), and assisted the laboratory sessions of the graduate-level Field Mapping course

- Assisted Dr. Simon Kübler’s research on the geological constraints in human evolution - As part of the project, I managed the collected rock samples from the Kenya Rift, digitally mapped the soil data and 4 sheets of the geological maps of the Tanzania region that was in paper, and helped managing the geological data.

Six weeks of field work in mining industry -in a project targeted at exploration of porphyry Cu-Au deposits in Halilaga, Western Turkey. Worked as a wellsite geologist at drilling sites and performed field excursions and mapping.

- Carried out a week of field excursion in the central Anatolia and five weeks of related office work, including construction of structure-contour and reservoir thickness maps. - Trainings on quantitative basin analysis, reservoir engineering, geodesy, mapping, and well logging.

* Thesis: Explored the fracture permeability–seismicity relationship in impermeable rock (shale and schist) through a series of flow-through experiments. Implications for reservoir stimulation and induced seismicity. * Adviser: Prof. Dr. Derek Elsworth * 3rd place winner in the annual departmental research showcase poster contest (graduate students category).

* Thesis: Reconstructed the Cenozoic subsidence/uplift history of the Northern Alpine Foreland Basin (Germany) by developing & applying a novel technique for the analysis of vertical lithospheric movements. * Adviser: Prof. Dr. Anke M. Friedrich

* Senior thesis: Built the hydrogeological model of an aquifer and developed water production scenarios for the next 10, 20, 30, and 40 years. Softwares: Visual Modflow, Global Mapper, ArcGIS, MapInfo. * Adviser: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koray K. Yilmaz
