Emily Rookwood

I look after brand, marketing and communications for PMI’s luxury publication portfolio: writing copy, strategy documents and marketing plans, compiling monthly board packs and implementing print, online and email campaigns. I split my time between PMI and Spear’s.

I run print production from commissioning, distribution and advertising to managing an extensive team (50+) of freelancers and liaising with design agencies and printers. I maintain our budgets and look after HR. I write articles both for print and online, covering a wide range of topics including business, travel and art. I continue to edit, write and content manage the food and restaurant section of the Spear’s website.

I was responsible for the production of the magazine, working externally with contributors, advertisers and print providers, and internally with the editorial and sales teams. I oversaw the magazine’s growth from a quarterly to a bi-monthly publication and helped launch Spear’s Middle East and Spear’s Asia. In addition to writing for the print magazine, I created the Food Friday section of spearsmagazine.com and grew this into one of the most popular and dynamic sections of the website.

I supported the senior editorial staff in the administration of the commissioning, planning and production of the publication.
