Research theme: Bridging Model Predictive Control (MPC) and robust linear control theory. Research description: There is a lack of a systematic approach that relates MPC tuning to linear control theory. The aim of this research work is to use the existing kowledge from linear control theory to systematically determine the MPC tuning parameters. Additional responsibilities: A teaching assistant primarily helping in creating and delivering tutorials and lectures.

1) Dealt with rotating equipments used in process industries, 2) Basic engineering activities, 3) Detail engineering activities. Projects: 1) Detail engineering for QAFCO, a Qatar based fertilizer company. 2) Was deputed for 3 months at UHDE headquarters in Dortmund, Germany to assist in commissioning activities for QAFCO. 3) Basic and detail engineering for VVF Ltd., a fatty alcohol plant in India. 4) Detail engineering for Asean Bintulu Fertilizer Ltd., Malaysia.
