    My purpose was to develop a strategy to encourage the next generation of smallholder farmers. I was responsible for managing an international team in Uganda, Brazil and Central America – managing budgets, developing and reviewing activity plans and particularly consolidating lessons learned. Other core activities focused on acquiring new projects – writing proposals, budgets, and logframes, developing communications materials, meeting with potential and existing donors.

    As part of my master's thesis I co-facilitated a workshop for young offenders for 4 months and interviewed key players in the juvenile justice system including youth, judges, prison staff and NGO's to uncover how different aspects of stigma limit youths opportunities to reintegrate into their communities after a period of incarceration.

Meanwhile I worked together with Dr. Zuberi to publish my own research comparing two urban mobility programs in the Netherlands and the United States.
