Working with companies to help them make a lasting impact and become certified B Corps

I was in charge of managing expert workshops and client specific projects that leverage the B Corp Framework to help companies understand and improve their impact. I bring a unique set of skills to the table with experience from my previous positions working directly with B Lab Europe, Erdbär - a German Certified B Corporation and managing the Hanns R. Neumann foundation's multi-stakeholder youth coffee development projects.

My purpose was to develop a strategy to encourage the next generation of smallholder farmers. I was responsible for managing an international team in Uganda, Brazil and Central America – managing budgets, developing and reviewing activity plans and particularly consolidating lessons learned. Other core activities focused on acquiring new projects – writing proposals, budgets, and logframes, developing communications materials, meeting with potential and existing donors.

As part of my master's thesis I co-facilitated a workshop for young offenders for 4 months and interviewed key players in the juvenile justice system including youth, judges, prison staff and NGO's to uncover how different aspects of stigma limit youths opportunities to reintegrate into their communities after a period of incarceration.

I worked as a trainee for UNICEF El Salvador's youth violence prevention programs to complete the practical component of my master's degree.

Casa Aldec and Mundo de Niños are local NGOs that provide relief, a home and other basic necessities to youth who were living on the street. I was primarily in charge of planning activities and coordinating with the community.

My primary responsibilities were to assist Dr. Zuberi with literature reviews and transcription for his research concerning the livelihoods of outsourced hospital workers in Vancouver as well as a project concerning the U.S. public education system. Meanwhile I worked together with Dr. Zuberi to publish my own research comparing two urban mobility programs in the Netherlands and the United States.
