Stahl Europe BV (temporary contract) Lead/execute R&D projects on the following aspects: -Developing flame retardant formulations for the textile coatings (Integra product line). -Stay clean coatings for the automotive industry. -Water repellent formulations for the textile industry (Fluor free). -Developing rheology modifiers (rheology Anton Paar). -Developing compounds for internal and external customers. -Optimize current products because of SHE issues.

Lead/execute projects: Developing coatings and coating processes. Research into the applicability of new raw materials. Contacts with suppliers of raw materials, chemicals and laboratory equipment. Perform physical and chemical measurements. Insourcing and developing new window covering products. Developing new products and production processes. Process optimization and process research Research new technologies with extern research institutes (plasma etc) Training, transferring knowledge to personnel

1 January 1998 – 31 March 1998. Textile lab technician (temporary replacement of a lab technician)  Analysis process flows and quality control.  Optimize recipes (dyeing and finishing) and material research.  Optimize textile finishing processes: dyeing and finishing.

Lead/execute R&D projects on the following aspects: Material research: rheology, wetting properties cotton fabrics, wax resins Process research: relief printing, rotary screen printing, cotton fabric pre-treatment Guide/supervise assistent and trainees Physical-chemical material research: rheology, thermal analysis, wetting properties coton, mechanical properties cotton fabrics, surface tension, contact angle.

Master project: On microscale encapsulation of the phase change material CaCl2 .6H2O by colloidosome formation for the storage and release of heat. Publication: Deformation of the Water/Oil Interface during the Adsorption of Sterically Stabilized Particles (Langmuir).

Bachelor project: Environmentally friendly production of textile window covering products. ‘

Bachelor project: The rheological characterization of printing pastes used in the textile industry. Process research printing textile substrates by rotary screen printing

Bachelor project: The influence from phosphate on the catalytical desulphorisation properties of alumina supported Mo, Co, Mo – Co and Mo – Ni catalysts.
