Dipl.-Ing. Tayyab Waqar

Main duties include sensor integration and algorithm development activities besides management. Within this capacity some of the Consumer Electronics related sensor research, implementation, and integration-based projects that I have worked on are: •Ventilator: Integration of O2, SpO2, and ETCO2 sensor under the Agile PM. •I worked on bleach sensing application for domestic dishwashers. •Meat Probe: An automatic sensor for the detection of meat cooking application. •Automatic water boiling detection.

A short summary of my current responsibilities include: • Leading the R&D projects. • Initiating collaborations with other institutions and companies. • Pursuing different funding opportunities especially H2020. • Following and publishing the latest technology trends through a detailed scientific publications/patents review. • Instruments management.

Successfully lead cross-cultural teams from different departments for Sensor integration-based projects. Some examples are the integration of Accelerometer for washing machine unbalanced load detection, Development of SpO2 sensor to measure heart rate and SpO2 for patient bedside monitor (on-going), algorithm development using NTCs to detect food cooking, integration of Vibration sensor to develop a smart algorithm for Iron, Fall detection using Radar sensor, conversion of acceleration to displacement.

I was assigned to work in "Fault Diagnosis Laboratory"​. During the period of my research i have published 3 research papers in international journals and currently 2 papers are in review process. I have participated in an international conference "ELECTRONICS 2015"​ which was held in Palanga, Lithuania on 15-17 July, 2015. I have also applied for a patent on the topic of 'Energy Harvesting".

Currently working as an English/Urdu/Hindi/Turkish Interpreter for the Turkish Exporters Ministry(TIM). I was used to help foreigner businessmen to communicate with their Turkish Counterparts in order to conduct businesses.

One month Internship with Business Unit-Transformers Department. Developed management skills by learning “5S Management” and then successfully implementing it in the Steel Fabrication department as an internship project

One month Internship in Engineering Department. Gained the basic working knowledge of Satellite transmission, Master Control Room (MCR) and live transmission equipments.

One month Internship in PIA Engineering Department. Acquired functional knowledge regarding the basics of Electrical, Instrumental and Communication equipments used for the maintenance of Airplane parts. Learned about the Line maintenance of airplanes as well.

*I am selected as one of the most successful students in Turkey in 2015 and rewarded with an award by the President of Turkey on 11th June 2015. *I was awarded a Merit scholarship by the Turkish Government in order to pursue a Masters in the field of Mechatronics. *Thesis: Fault diagnosis in gears using Neural Networks with Ant Colony Optimization. *Published 4 research papers in total.

Project: Automatic tablet counting, filling and capping machine with error detection. I was one of the outstanding students of my batch.
