Ista Alborz is a construction consulting firm providing design, supervision, and implementation services across architecture, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering for building projects.

I am a licensed mechanical engineer with more than ten years of work experience designing and supervising building energy efficiency, HVAC, and CFD modeling. I have accomplished lots of building energy performance evaluations for the calculation of heating and cooling loads utilizing DesignBuilder and TRNSYS.

I was a research assistant at the CFD Lab of the aerospace engineering faculty, using Numerical methods for Computational Simulations of Fluid Flows.

I have worked as a Lead R&D engineer and senior engineer for an air handling unit manufacturer. As a lead R&D engineer, I performed experimental and numerical-computational simulations on heat exchangers, heat recovery units, axial & plug fans, and air handling units, thermal bridging, and thermal transmission to obtain Eurovent certificates. As a senior engineer, I led R&D teams, and I mentored young engineers with HVAC&R courses.

I was a member of a research team working on the Porous Media Burner.

I have designed and supervised projects to implement heating and cooling products.

I have designed and supervised numerous projects to implement buildings HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.

I conducted thermal analyses and applied optimization techniques via EES to assess and improve the energy efficiency of advanced energy production systems during my M.Sc. study at the University of Tabriz. I taught thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics courses to undergraduate students.
