Is part of the Internal Audit Function for Nouryon worldwide: Establishes and executes the Corporate HSE&S audit plan; Provides training and guidance to HSE&S Lead Auditors and Auditors; Analyses HSE&S audit data for the Nouryon Leadership; Implements and maintains tools and systems for audit teams; Works in close cooperation with the HSE&S function; Takes the lead for critical audits to ensure HSE&S audit standards of Nouryon are met.

Business Unit staff role providing expertise on HSE (IT)systems, projects, procedures (for example Permit to Work, Management of Change, Shift Handover, Incident Investigation, HSE performance reporting). Heading an expert group and after restructuring providing an expert role. Responsible for HSE systems for BU mono and multi-sites situated mainly in Western Europe.

Responsibility for Management Systems processes/change management for 5 chlorine production sites in the Netherlands and Germany, including the sBU Chlor-Alkali head office. Additional responsibility for generic safety processes in the sBU Chlor-Alkali.

Management systems integration for AkzoNobel IC site Rotterdam in the Botlek area (The Netherlands). QHSE change management for multi site environment.

Chemical process safety management for chlorine production units of Akzo Nobel Base Chemicals sBU Chlor-Alkali, including QHSE projects and behavioral aspects of safety on the job.

Management development activities for middle management positions in the Netherlands, including support to recruitment programs for new hires, mentoring program and career development for financial and engineering functions within AN Netherlands.

Project leader for research programs for several Akzo Nobel plants such as chlormethanes plant, ethylene amines plant. Specialization in the area of process simulation with Aspen Plus.
