Conducted research on factors shaping gut microbiome during ontogeny and explored the gut microbiome-immune system-brain axis. Responsibilities included: sample collection, DNA extraction, Illumina amplicon sequencing, bioinformatics and statistical analysis. Published findings in peer-reviewed journals. Throughout, I focused on optimizing workflows and enhancing data analysis methods for improved research outcomes.

Served as a waiter, acquired essential skills in customer service and sales. Demonstrated skill in fostering teamwork and maintaining organized front-of-house operations.

Monitoring the reproductive behavior of the superb-fairy wren population. Key responsibilities encompassed mapping territories, locating and regular nests checks, collecting blood samples and actively participating in database management.

Contributed to various projects focused on avian speciation. Lab duties involved DNA extraction, amplification, and sequencing, along with data pre-processing and initial analysis. Additionally, served as a field assistant, collecting blood samples and ecological/behavioral data in multiple countries (São Tomé and Príncipe, Angola, South Africa). Also took on roles as lab and field manager, leading expeditions, managing logistics, and overseeing project budgets.
