Forfar district nursing team, supporting patients in their own homes. Under supervision of nursing staff, I fulfilled a wide range of duties to care for, support & look after the physical comfort of patients, taking and recording basic observations, basic wound care and dressing changes, helping patients with nutrition & listening & talking to patients. Training included information governance, codes of conduct, lone working, infection prevention & control, dementia training & transporting of medication.

British Red Cross crisis response service, I assessed service users needs, help them decide what goals they would like to achieve, we filled the gap between leaving hospital & community care beginning. I offer practical and emotional support, transport home from hospital, door-to-door transport for essential health-care journeys, help with everyday tasks companionship, rebuilding confidence. Training included medication & pharmacy knowledge, moving & assisting, safeguarding of vulnerable children &adults.

Ministry of Defence Guard Services working for the British Army in the Osnabruck garrison. Responsible for access & pass control, vehicle & personnel searching, security dog patrols of buildings & perimeter fences, CCTV & alarm monitoring. Training taught me how to handle, train & ensure welfare of a military working dog, animal husbandry, kennel management & veterinary first aid, correct search technique, safe operation of search equipment, correct radio procedure, first aid & safe operation of firearms.
