At Apellis, I established and implemented efficient international supply chain processes and infrastructure from the ground up, driving operational enhancements aligned with strategic goals. I developed and managed key relationships with CMOs, freight forwarders, and 4PLs, ensuring robust governance and supplier collaboration. My efforts have ensured compliant, uninterrupted supply while optimizing supply chain performance to support global business objectives.

At MorphoSys, I played a key role in the company’s transformation from an R&D-focused organization into a fully-fledged biopharmaceutical company. I led the management of a virtual manufacturing setup, overseeing vendors and driving the implementation of commercial supply chain structures and processes. My experience in Supply Chain was instrumental in enabling the company’s first-ever commercial launch, successfully transitioning into a market-ready organization.

As the Head of SCM at Boehringer Ingelheim in Mexico City, I oversaw a comprehensive supply chain organization comprising 62 professionals, managing operations for a production site handling Human Pharma (PM, CHC, and ICB), Animal Health, and the inbound transfer of anti-diabetes production. The site featured 14 packaging lines and 2 main mfg. trains. Including warehousing, import/export activities, and local distribution, ensuring efficient and compliant supply chain performance across all sectors.

As the leader of the SC dept. for the Russian market at BI, I established a robust SC function & processes, overseeing operations, capacity planning, process documentation and budgeting/reporting. I provided in-sales support for PM, CHC, and Animal Health, serving key distribution channels. I implemented S&OP processes and cost-saving initiatives, while leading critical projects like 3PL interface optimization & integration. Also facilitating production localization, launches, and anti-counterfeit measures.

Implemented global supply chain tools for planning and customs. Managed key projects, including production site outsourcing, SAP-APO/EOQ improvements, and SAP-ATL@S (German customs) integration. Led a project aligning international SAP with SAP GTS to ensure customs compliance. Authored a thesis on an AEO-C-TPAT feasibility study for BI. Coordinated demand for Hispanic countries and acted as a supply planner for non-integrated CMOs.

As the "Direct & Indirect Manufacturing Supply Sourcing Group Manager" at GSK in Buenos Aires, I was responsible for GMS procurement across two manufacturing sites—Munro and San Fernando—including a Cephalosporin site in Munro. I led a team of six, overseeing sourcing strategies and procurement operations to ensure efficient supply chain management and cost-effectiveness across both sites.
