The company is engaged in onshore exploration, drilling and production of petroleum & gas in Russia. The Group Management works out of Oslo while the operations are performed in the Timan-Pechora basin in North-West Russia and in the Volga-Urals basin close to Kazakhstan. My key areas was financial strategy and financing of the company, and established routines on accounting and contingency planning. I left the company when a majority stake was acquired by Waterford Ltd in the spring of 2012.

I was recruited when the company went from a pilot program to full scale commercial operations. The company integrated vertically into the value chain by acquiring a brood plant and Norway’s biggest hatchery. It put out about 2.5 million fish during year 2008 and planned to gradually increase the business to be one of the biggest cod producers. The farming cluster is located in Northern Norway.

This privately-owned consulting firm in corporate finance and ship management was established when it was decided to re-establish my former employer, Ocean Trawlers AS, in Hong Kong and change MPM Invest AS to a real estate investor, and services the re-established company structure. My first assignment was to prepare the business plan for the new enterprise.

The company engaged in purchasing whole round and headed and gutted fish of Russian origin for sale internationally, mostly to European and North-American customers for further processing and trading under their respective brand names. We enjoyed an organic growth from scratch to USD 250 million in 5 years.
