I Manage the Implementation department for Managed Hosting consisting of 20+ Technical Architects and Consultants covering the Design, Development and Implementation of new and existing customer infrastructures on a multi-tenant platform built on VMware and NetApp technology.

Contracted to recover multiple customer Citrix environments from failed implementations and poor performance which included full infrastructure assessments and redesign following Microsoft and Citrix best practice methodology, application due diligence, coexistence and lifecycle strategy, delivering optimal performance and accelerated login times.

Contracted to several clients to design and Implement Microsoft, Citrix XenApp and VMware ESX vSphere Infrastructures, including VDI implementations. I was engaged by IBM to design a disaster recovery solution for one of its Global Insurance clients based in London. The design was to ensure all services and resources could effectively fail across to IBM’s Data Centre in Portsmouth from the clients current production Data Centre, the design was to also facilitate “isolated DR” where a subset of the clients Infrastructure could be replicated within an ACL’d VLAN for enhanced testing whilst still maintaining production services.

IBM has been tasked with delivering a server based computing environment at one of there Banking Clients. I have been contracted to assist in the design and deployment of a Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 infrastructure utilizing X64 Architecture for 5000 seats dispersed geographically. To facilitate the proof of concept I designed a test environment using VMware ESX technology which has also been adopted by the client for future projects.

I was contracted by AMS to attend several of there clients sites to carry out Citrix Health checks and recommend changes according to best practice where necessary and in certain instances perform the changes on the clients behalf. Clients included Banking institutes and governmental Organizations.

Contracted to several client sites including ClientLogic and British Telecomm to asses there infrastructure including multiple Citrix Farms utilizing Citrix Access Gateway for remote connectivity, the health checks encompassed the design / process documentation and recommend changes and modifications based on best practice where possible.

Northgate are currently planning a migration of the recently acquisitioned SX3 environment based in Dublin to the Northgate Infrastructure, my role is to design and propose a technical solution for the seamless integration of both environments which incorporate several geographical locations whilst implementing standardization and processes.

DSG International are going through a major refresh of there Server Based Computing Architecture which spans multiple geographical locations. Contracted to a Law Firm on the behalf of Computerland UK Ltd to complete a Farm migration from MetaFrame XP to a base lined installation of Presentation Server 3 on Windows 2000 Server. My role was to complete the migration to MPS 3.0 and configure the Farm and Servers; this included the installation of bespoke applications, imaging processes, disaster recovery and process documentation.
