Coordinating and managing food and feed safety testing. Analysing interactions of food contaminants (cocktail effects) and food contaminants and nutrients, respectively. Developing and implementing molecular (omics), biostatistical and bioinformatics tools for use in food and feed safety assessments.

Novel molecular tools of toxicological research –including proteomics, transcriptomics and bioinformatics– were employed alongside classical approaches of toxicology to better characterise the potential hazards associated with contaminants present in food.

Detection and monitoring of pollutants in the environment, environmental impact and risk assessment, legislative frameworks, and environmental management tools.

The diploma study at the Univeristät für Bodenkultur provided me with a robust technical background in food and biotechnology and a strong set of skills in biochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology.
