Julia Wegner

Trained as a biomedical scientist, I am a passionate problem solver with a strong background in immunology and virology. I am specialized in innate immunity and have five years of experience in CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, cell line generation, primary cell handling (monocytes, T cells), cellular assays, as well as in molecular biology and biochemical methods. Moreover, I am experienced in the design of experiments, data analysis, data presentation, supervision of students and technical assistants, project management, and scientific writing. I have authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific publications and have additional work experience as a freelance academic editor. My intellectual curiosity drives me to immerse myself in new topics and concepts on a daily basis, which, combined with my analytical skills, allows me to approach problems from different perspectives. As I am about to complete my PhD, I am looking for new challenges in biomedical research and development.
