- Find novel small molecules to generate insulin cells from other cell types: development of non-existing in house HTS assays, assay miniaturization and conducting HTS with automation and robotics - Target identification and deconvolution I successfully developed and completed a 80,000-compound cell-based qPCR screen, resulting in a small set of potential hits under evaluation, and confirmed the relevance of biological drug targets.

- Worked on transgenic animal models of pancreas to study insulin cell maturation for stem cell therapy - Managed a team of 2 technicians My work resulted in the discovery of novel mechanisms of pancreatic insulin cell differentiation.
