My role here was to manage the product line called ‘Careers’ which leverages doctors to apply for jobs, academic programs and fellowships. I was not only involved in developing business for my vertical but also cross functionally engaged in customer engagement, user acquisition and product management.

I got an opportunity to lead a team of 6, which required mentoring a talented pool and managing the business at the headquarters. Dealing with the analysis of the periodic sales reports, reviewing businesses at individual territories, identifying the inadequacies in the distribution, understanding market patterns, allocation of optimal medical resources exposed me largely to the intricacies of data analysis, generating insights and planning strategies aimed for business growth at a grass root level.

It was indeed a proud moment for me when I got selected for the Future Leaders Program at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals. Whether it be meeting customers in sub-urban setups or completing challenging sales targets, the stint exposed me largely to the intricacies of strategy development and sales analysis aimed for business growth at a grass root level.
