Dr. Katarzyna M. Grochowska

I design and manage scientific projects, as well as gain further technical knowledge (advanced microscopy techniques). The project managing consists of long-term planning, budget management, and implementation of time-saving solutions. In addition, I independently acquire research funding as well as gain experience in teaching (contribution to master’s course and supervision of PhD student).

During full-time laboratory work (EU Excelleze Programme) I developedthe scientific project. This included choosing the research direction,identifying the necessary methods, starting collaborations, and mastering timemanagement. I have also supervised master’s theses (choosing the researchtopic, teaching the experimental procedures and analysis). My workresulted in 4 scientific publications in high-ranked peer-reviewed journals. Also,I co-organized scientific conferences (one international).

Research placement in Ghent, Belgium within Erasmus LLP Programme. Work on theresearch project on septic shock mechanisms.
