As Senior Manager at Allianz Group, I used to design scalable data platforms and lead global software implementation projects in the fields of telematics, fraud detection, and asset management.

As Big Data Architect and Data Scientist at the Deloitte Analytics Institute I am translating business requirements into Business Intelligence and Big Data applications, whilst working at the interface between business administration, software development, data analysis, mathematical modelling, statistics and machine learning.

As Big Data Consultant I consulted large corporations in the automotive and retail industries with regards to scalable Big Data architectures, and developed prototypes for solutions to be deployed in production. As Big Data Architect I prototyped the first productive Big Data plattform for a classical retailer in Germany. As such I worked in close collaboration with the Chief Data Engineer and Solution Architect EMEA at MapR, as well as BI Portal GmbH.

As Research Associate at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) I was primarly involved in the heavy flavour physics group at the ZEUS experiment in Hamburg, Germany. The research, which I performed for my thesis, was focused on the development of a novel algorithm to detect the heavy quark contribution to the structure function of the proton. This method required advanced skills in software development, and sophisticated techniques in data analysis, statistics and simulation to analyse large data sets.
