Berufserfahrung von Kerstin Jerosch

  • Bis heute 4 Jahre und 7 Monate, seit Dez. 2020

    Senior research scientist (AWI)

Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research

My discipline is the interplay between ecology and biogeochemistry in the marine environment. I have worked on many topics, including deepsea bacteria, Antarctic fjord ecosystems and estuarine Arctic sedimentology, and environmental modelling. Usually there is some spatial aspect involved in my work. This may be in the form of multivariate mechanistic (ecosystem) models, geostatistics or some other number-crunching procedures.

    PhD student (DFG / BMBF)

Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research

PhD student at the AWI in the frame of the project „MarGIS: Marine Geo-Information System for Visualisation and Typology of Marine Geo-data” funded by the BMBF and DFG. MarGIS intended the combination of GIS, research data, and multivariate geo-statistical techniques for characterization and identification of distinct provinces at the seafloor of marine and coastal zones.
