Conducting independent surveys and audits on the performance of mine haul roads in Southern Africa to enable the various mines to attain their 12L energy efficiency tax incentives. Competent Areas Includes (but not limited to) – • Weekly auditing of mines and the subsequent reporting of the results. • Liaising with the mine site managers as well as the area and regional managers of our client. • Provide technical feedback to the client on the state of works.

My responsibilities include; liaison with suppliers, reporting to the client, ensuring that the quality system and documentation is up to standard and being adhered to, inspection of works both before and after casting of concrete, writing of method statements, report writing, progress reporting and ensuring that all work activities are carried out safely.

I was a senior site engineer on a mega construction project utilising precast concrete elements. My responsibilities included but were not limited to mentoring of juniors, plan and track progress, order material, inspect works, raise technical issues and write method statement reports.

Civil and structural design in the mining sector. I dealt with projects from concept through to commissioning. I carried out the design of works, compiled the Bill of Quantities and adjudicated the tenders submitted. I also dealt with site work, supervising multiple contractors.

My work with Bishop Construction was during weekends and vacations. My responsibilities were; general site supervision, liaison with site foreman, site visits, tendering, first aider, procurement of PPE and materials, surveying, pre-and post concrete inspections.
