As a Census Field officer I visited the households of individuals that had not completed the Census. I engaged with the householders to inquire whether I could assist them to complete the census. This included answering questions, alleviating any concerns that they had regarding the Census and directing them to all of the available support that they required.

My research investigated the effects of anti-diabetic incretin based therapies upon the microvasculature; utilising a cerebral endothelial cell (EC) line. During my PhD I have acquired a broad range of critical skills for project management, and conducting effective self-directed research with a high level of competence in an array of biological investigative approaches.

I oversaw a facility's small central lab where I processed and stored volunteer's biological samples. These were then securely stored and meticulous databases were maintained to ensure accurate retrieval later. HTA regulations were adhered to at all times. As the 'designated individual' for the facility I was in charge of this and the authorising transfer of samples internally and externally. I conducted the Addenbrookes Cognitive Examination (ACE-R) as part of a large multinational research project.

As a healthcare assistant, I cared for patients on the wards that I was designated. Over the course of almost 4 years I worked in care of the elderly, surgical, general medicine, emergency medicine and clinics. I studied and carried out phlebotomy carried out wound care and looked after all daily caring duties including eating, hygiene, toileting and mobility support for the patients I cared for.
