The aim of my study is to determine the impact of various mutations, found in CLD and CSID patients, on the respective disaccaridase´s enzymatic activity, intracellular transport and polarized sorting in epithelial cells. Therefore I introduce mutations in the gene of the specific enzyme and analyse the effects of the mutation by the use of cell-biological, molecular biological and biochemical experiments.
