Leonard Kieckebusch

As a Transmission Project Leader I am responsible for defined R&D activities around manual transmission fluids (MTF) and axle oils with focus on EU automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Moreover, I am involved in the development of fluids for electrified powertrains, this also includes fluid for the race series Formula E.

As part of my degree (Master in Chemistry with Industrial Experience) I was working for nine months as an intern in the Transmission Oil Team at the Shell Technology Center in Hamburg. Part of my internship was a research project to improve the antifoaming performance of transmission fluids which included blending, testing, and data analysis. Furthermore, I developed a new process flow to increase efficiency by managing approval applications and prolongations.

For my internship at a private bank in Düsseldorf I was mainly working in the Economics and the Analyst department. Assisting in developing publications I was responsible for collecting data by using MS Excel, MS Word, and Bloomberg, the results of which were published.

For my internship at Kirix I had the task of supervising an intern from Shanghai, China. During that time, I mentored him and told him everything I knew so far about the financial system in Germany and Europe by evaluating different investment funds and discussing publications. Additionally, my role involved meetings with employees and business partners.
