Lou Gasco

As part of the school's PTA organization, Lou helped lead the public advocacy to save this K-12 public school from some policy decisions made by the Board of Education which endangered the education of over 1,000 students.

- Manage Enterprise Architecture operations through Technical, Application, and Business Architecture disciplines. - Support and manage Enterprise Architecture communications to over 4,000+ IT professionals regarding standards, and processes. - Lead Enterprise Architecture project to support "IT as a Competitive Advantage" with MetLife business counterparts.

- Coordinating activities of 40+ Technology Teams through the merger/integration between MetLife, and Travelers [$11billion acquisition] - Interacting with all MetLife Architects, through the auspices of the Enterprise Architect to make certain that they are fully empowered to follow Enterprise Architecture's guidelines and direction.

Designed implementations of new technology products that underwent patent process such as FIDELIS, RealRead, and Web-Mole. Performance Managed quality of service of technical consulting teams. Performance Managed Client and Vendor Technical relationships and Sales Support, leading to company's sale as a successful I.P. holder.

Lou provided technology consultation services on various potential investments made by Citicorp's Investment Banking technology services department.

Created and managed the Server Infrastructure Team supporting 180+ Servers in the Americas, eventually becoming the Tactical Engineering arm of the Credit Suisse IT Engineering Department. Responsible for project management of various Tactical and Strategic initiatives, mergers, and reorganizations. Over $60million in projects were satisfied at a $12million savings.

Advised on the investigation of an IT Security incident, to successful passive resolution. Lou's handling of the stress surrounding the event allowed for all parties to focus on resolution, and avoided the incident from becoming blown out of proportion. Resolution was complete, and supportive of new IT Security processes at the bank.

Successfully reorganized and equipped CIBD Server Group to work with Global Build by Utilizing Performance based management, and automating Monitoring and migration planning. Supporting a $180million investment in a new global infrastructure initiative.

Managed Client Engineering Staff to successful design, and implementation of SMS based Change Delivery system for Binary transfers. Managed successful Pilot implementation to 1,400 users in North America for CIBD. Technology implementation enabled a $180million global infrastructure initiative.

Managed combined BIS Operations Staff, Peoplesoft Consulting staff, and Infrastructure team through successful integration of infrastructure into a 4,000 user Peoplesoft Financial Package implementation. Implementation of BIS G/L took under nine months to implement!

Lou provided management for multiple infrastructural, technology, and IT Security services to Kyodo News International's New York offices

Project Manager for Exchange Migration Project at Department of Environmental Protection for 1,400 users.

Trading Room System Migration from video to open/digital systems. This was a new implementation for a digital trading systems. Open Bloomberg, Liberty Systems, Telerate, and Microsoft were being implemented for the first time. Lou was called on to manage the project on Implementation weekend after the Business Project Manager went AWOL, to a successful 72 hour implementation over a weekend. All systems were tested.

Lou consulted on Petrobras acquisition of the Telerate informaiton systems.

Lou setup the management of a project to implement a networking infrastructure in the New York offices of Mitsui's trading operation. The project successfully created an information infrastructure in support of the group's trading operation, at budget, and in time.

Lou created, managed, and evolved the Financial Operations of the Mercer Group companies. Lou and his team created the first investment management information system utilized to manage multiple oil & gas interests on behalf of the Mercer Limited partnerships. This system was later marketed and implemented to similar partnerships by the company's accounting services, and Lou's team.
